Counselling

Counselling, at Your Own Pace

Coming to counselling is rarely a small decision. Whatever has brought you here (a difficult season, a quiet unease you can’t quite name, grief, anxiety, a relationship in need of care, or simply the sense that you deserve space to think) it takes courage just to look. You don’t need to have the words sorted out yet. You don’t need a diagnosis, a category, or a tidy explanation. You just need a place to start.

That’s what this space is for.

A Space Without Assumption

Everyone arrives carrying something different, and everyone deserves to be met exactly where they are, not where a textbook says they should be. Sessions here are unhurried and responsive, shaped around you rather than a fixed programme. Some people want to talk things through week by week. Others are working with something more tender, that needs time to unfold gently. Both are welcome.

You’ll find a warm, non-judgemental presence, someone adaptable, patient, and free of assumption. If what you’re carrying doesn’t fit neatly into a category, that’s fine too. We can start simply with where you are.

How Sessions Work

Counselling is available in person at Callendar House in Falkirk, or online across the UK and internationally, for those who prefer the comfort of home or a more flexible schedule. Both formats offer the same quality of attention and care; the choice is about what suits your life right now.

Each session is a confidential, unhurried 50 minutes that belongs entirely to you. There’s no pressure to perform progress or arrive with anything prepared. Some weeks will feel like steady, gentle movement forward. Others may simply be about being heard. Both matter.

Ready When You Are

There’s no perfect moment to begin, and no wrong way to start. If you’re curious whether counselling might help, that curiosity is enough of a reason to reach out. Book a session below, or get in touch with any questions first. I’m happy to talk it through before you commit to anything.
